About Us

Express Dance Movement is a premier dance company in Newton, IA. Since 2021, we have been dedicated to offering students stellar instruction. We are a family-oriented competitive, and fun dance company. We offer dance, ballet, tap lessons, classes, and more. Our staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the best way for each student to learn the art of dance. We have highly qualified teachers who are passionate about their craft and dedicated to ensuring student masters their steps. Our goal is to create an environment where everyone can feel comfortable expressing themselves freely through movement! Look no further for a hip-hop class or toddler dance lessons. We love EDM! Our 5 year old daughter is getting ready to start her second season at EDM. Maggie, the owner, is fantastic. She is great with all the kids, well organized and does a wonderful job keeping everyone informed. The class sizes are small and provide a positive environment for the kids to learn/grow. They have wonderful summer camps where they learn a dance, have a snack and get to do arts/crafts. We recently had our daughters birthday there and it was so much fun! Maggie did everything from the decor, games, activities and taught them a dance.
